OPHS Newsletter 05/04/26
Hi everyone,
As we enter May and wrap up the school year, we’re excited to share a few updates about upcoming new OPHS projects, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to stay involved on campus. There is a lot happening, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all at our upcoming activities.
Best,
The OPHS Leadership Team 🌻
OPHS + American Red Cross Blood Drive Tomorrow 🩸
OPHS is partnering with the American Red Cross to host another Spring 2026 Blood Drive on TOMORROW, May 5th, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Knowlton Athletics Center. Donating blood is a quick and meaningful way to give back, and one donation can help save up to three lives. As a thank-you, all donors will receive a $20 e-gift card.

📚☀️ Health Orgs Study Break!
Need a breather during reading period? OPHS, Obie PHI, OMAPS, and SWAG are teaming up to bring you a collaborative study break on Sunday, May 10th from 12:00–2:00 PM in the Science Center Bowl (rain location: Science Center K100)!

Humanitarian Aid Flower Sale 🌸
OPHS is hosting a flower sale this Friday, May 8th, from 9 AM – 3 PM in Mudd Library! All proceeds will be donated to International Medical Corps, which has been providing lifesaving healthcare, mental health support, nutrition, and clean water services to people in Gaza since 2008.
Flowers are available on a sliding scale ! come show your support and grab something beautiful heading into finals weekend.

OPHS Food Justice Volunteering
OPHS is partnering with OCS to support their food pantry initiative. We have a food drive donation box set up in Wilder outside of DeCafé! Please drop off any non-perishable donations by Wednesday, May 13th. Every contribution helps support community members in need.
We are also volunteering at George Jones Memorial Farm tomorrow, Tuesday May 5th, from 3–4 PM. There may also be an additional farm volunteering opportunity during reading period on Tuesday, May 12th. If you're interested in either, please email aproulx@oberlin.edu!
